A Lebanese Customer wanted to build an in-house iDempiere capability to own their ERP implementation, customization, and long-term support without perpetual vendor dependency. We delivered an 8-week iDempiere functional + technical training program — producing 12 certified consultants ready to go live on their own project.

The Lebanese customer's leadership had chosen iDempiere open-source ERP for a major internal rollout but couldn't find qualified iDempiere consultants in Lebanon or Beirut. They needed to upskill their existing in-house Java + PL/SQL team to full iDempiere implementation and plugin-development capability — fast, and without flying everyone to India for onsite training.
Our Solution
We designed a blended virtual + onsite 8-week training program combining functional modules, technical OSGi plugin development, hands-on labs, and a capstone project reviewed by our senior architects.
- Week 1–2: Functional foundation — Finance, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, BPartner master, Application Dictionary
- Week 3–4: Configuration mastery — accounting schema, tax rules, document types, price lists, workflows
- Week 5–6: Technical track — OSGi plugin development in Java, callouts, model validators, process classes, REST web services
- Week 7: Reporting — Jasper + BIRT report development, data access, printable templates
- Week 8: Capstone project — each team implements a real-world module end-to-end with code review by SCM Software Lab architects
- 40+ hands-on labs in a dedicated sandbox environment with sample data and assessment rubrics
- Blended delivery — 6 weeks virtual via Zoom + 2 weeks onsite in Beirut for capstone and intensive labs
- Certification — SCM Software Lab iDempiere Certified Consultant (Functional + Technical) after passing written exam + capstone
